Found this strange shapes on one cent coin roll hunting have not noticed it on any other of the many cents I have looked at is it an error or normal? Black arrow points to what I am referring on the memorial steps.

@Brucec, it looks to me like your arrow is pointing to the corner of the lowest step on the Lincoln Memorial (which is on all LMCs and looks kinda like a rectangular block). As @mcshilling pointed out, there should be a total of six of them.

Compare the rev of your coin with a pristine pic off of the interwebs--isn't that feature supposed to be there? Or am I misunderstanding to which item your are referring?
