After looking at a couple thousand 69D Kennedy's over the past few years, searching for doubled dies, I have found the flared G is much less common than the straight G, but wouldn't think it is any more of a premium.

It maybe obvious to us, but a lot of new ones come in here daily. They need to see the differences with their eyes to train themselves.

It looks great Mrzllewellyn. One modification, keep in mind it's a D. Both are D's. Thanks!

I'm getting wrapped around the axle. I'm still looking for something documented and definitive on this. I found this old thread: http://goccf.com/t/162694

Plus this: https://www.NGCcoin.com/coin-variet...es-vscid-18/

I even looked in the CherryPickers Guide. Unless I'm overlooking it, I see nothing.

Notching? ....and that's why I'm here, to learn. I've never heard that term before Mrzllewellyn. I just spent the last 30 minutes trying to educate myself. I can't even find the term/definition in coin glossaries. https://coins.ha.com/c/ref/glossary.zx

So tell me, what is it and where is it? Where should I be looking?

Ok look at the stars and the bottom left of these devices (letters and stars) on the doubled die reverse ddr-001 in vv. http://www.varietyvista.com/12%20Ke...9DDDR001.htm
Those are notches also I have a doubled die reverse 1964 proof dime that you can see little notches in the left side of the letters if you look
