erichhartmann New Member United States 3 Posts	Posted 12/15/2017 10:24 am Hello all - I am new here, and not familiar with coins or mint history in any way. Nonetheless, after moving some things with my girlfriend, we stumbled across this laying around in an old dresser of her grandmothers... After a little research online, everything I'm seeing about this coin seems a little to good to be true, so I was hoping you all could help me in figuring out a little more about it. Is it real? Does it ACTUALLY have any value? How do I know if it's fake? Thanks a lot! Report this Post to the Staff

I was afraid so, after seeing the significance of the coin, finding it laying around in an old dresser just didn't feel quite right. There will then be no doubt in this case. The only way I will ever get a 1913 Liberty nickel, is if I find a fake example in a dealer's junk box, but have never made any effort to do so.
