For those looking for circulation coins. How often are you shopping to receive coins as your change. With most now using debit or credit, just wondering how often you are using cash to come up with some of your finds.

Personally, I think it's more exciting to receive a wanted coin in circulation. You get home, go through your change and there's a couple of wanted coins in there. Unfortunately some coins take forever to turn up.

Anything I can't find I usually buy an uncirculated one from a dealer - but I prefer being surprised with a nice circulation find!

Since I retired, I use cards instead of cash most of the time, so my garnering of change for the coin jug is severely reduced. I used to bring home about a dollar in coin every day, now it's about a dollar a week.

I still carry a few pennies to make change with, though, when I do get a little cash back for walking around money.

For purchases under $20 I try to pay cash. Some of my collection is circulated coins so from time to time I find a coin in better condition than the one I had.
