AU 55. I'm having a hard time picking up on luster on much of the coin though.

PCGS has this coin at around $3000 graded.
Edit: graded at AU55. Double that for MS62

I'm at AU53 with a shot at 55. The surfaces appear unusual with semi-prooflike fields on a clearly circulated coin. It does appear to be genuine and at this price level (~$2,500) it needs to be authenticated.

53 with a strange wear pattern. If you notice on both obverse and reverse the high points of the design details have clear rub. But none of the fields have so much as a wisp of rub.
It's virtually impossible for that to happen.
The photos don't help as the monotone coloration does nothing for luster patterns which would help confirm or deny this coin as suspicious.
Perhaps, in hand, you can confirm more specific examination by tilting the coin to see if the luster flows.
Weight would also be helpful.
