I went through my miscellaneous coin jar this evening. I got a good start on a Wheat penny set. Also had 3/4 roll of pre-1965 Elizabeth Canadian cents. Also a number of different foreign coins. All in all I think I'm gonna work on some wheaties.

I worked on some Wheats tonight, as well. Over the last couple days I've been putting them into a Dansco I was gifted. There are many important holes to fill and many upgrades to be had, but I'm happy for actually having a mostly complete set of one of the most important American coins, in my opinion.

Many thanks to my fellow CCF members for providing me with an excellent start to this series! It will probably become my project for 2018. 2017 was devoted to Jeffersons 1938-2003 and I completed that task and went beyond what I had planned (I still need many upgrades, though).

Maybe 2019 will be for Roosevelt dimes.

When I visited the 'States a while ago I went through a change jar, all coins from circulation.
I pulled out a complete set of States quarters. Paid the owner $12:50 for them.
Both of us happy.

U.S. taxpayer makes a profit of $12:50, less the cost of manufacture and distribution.

Out of the bunch I only had 3 S mint cents. There are a couple coins I wanna replace because of the dreaded green junk.

I just toss coins I find in there until I decide to do something with them.

I do the same with my jar. Once I get past the holidays, I will go through and look for anything worth saving in my opinion.
