Terrible photos for a potentially great coin. If it stays under $300 it's probably worth the gamble.

Yes I agree also but do you think it's verdigis on the coin?

No, it may be toning, but I think it is lighting. Note the fields of the obverse reflect darker in the same general areas of the coin.

Don't look like verdgras - can you even get it on 90% silvers? Looks like somebody sneezed on both sides - start crossing your fingers that acetone will work on it. If you win it maybe a PCGS conservation service might be the way to go.

15 minutes to go and still at $256. It's a good thing I'm not a sniper from info originating here or I might take a stab at it.

That sucker has got to jump "big time" from $256, right? I bet there are bidders waiting til the last second.

$150 jump at 2secs left. That don't pass the smell test, dollar to a donut it was a shill and the deal will get canxed later. Seller wasn't getting anywhere near his goal, had his favorite snipe whack it high. Will see this coin again.

Wow! $407.30 still seems to be a great buy for that coin!

I'm wondering if that sell price could have reflected a problem coin? Also, IMO not the best time to end bidding....a Wednesday evening? A Sunday evening probably would have been better for the seller. Plus, selling a coin like this five days before Christmas?

I don't think it was a shill bidder. That's just how proxy bidding works when you're sniping. You enter your maximum bid (only one shot) not knowing what the current highest bidder set as their max. It does allow for major jumps within a couple seconds.
