more then likely its a misprint. its the first time I have seen that term used.

Tried searching the term "UFO coins" - came up with nothing. Should probably send the question to Wexler himself.

I don't think it's a typo. It was typed as "UFO Varieties" as well as "WUFO-001". I couldn't find anything on the site for such a listing and have never heard of it.

Maybe Wexler is toying with us and giggling right now as we discuss it.

I saw that too, have no idea.

My best theory is that WUFO-001 is that 1956-D "repunched date" Wexler has in his listings. Since repunched dates aren't possible in 1956, he may have reclassified it as a "UFO", just a new term for a die event that is unidentified.
