Okay, you can see this is a clean cent, however when I look at the obverse "IN GOD" is partially struck lessening as it moves to "WE TRUST". The Date and Liberty do not seem to be affected. Thoughts?

Looks like damage to me. Maybe a coin counting/wrapping machine or a vending machine.

The motto looks like a struck through partially fill devices with grease. Note high and lowered areas on these devices. The date area looks like Die Deterioration, but should be more oh a die wear issue, because of the multi-hub die creation. The only other thing I can think of is isolated die polishing where the die polishing moved into the recesses oh the die. Perhaps using a wire brush that removed some of the devices that made an enlargement of the devices only near the field areas towards the upper part of the dies incuse devices. If this were an 80's die, could be the same as Die Deterioration like we see today on dies. But something different was done with the obverse die?
