Wow...that double dated one really has me scratching my head as well. The only thing I can figure is two pennies pressed together under very high pressure? Quote: Also seen referred to as Tubal Cane. Somehow I missed that when I read it. I was wondering what the specific symbol was. Tubalcain is a Biblical figure from the Old Testament and is described as a man who knew/worked with tools. Also one of my favorite youtube channels - a very popular older man who taught metal shop classes all his life and now calls himself the Yoututbe shop teacher. I wish I knew half of what he has probably forgotten about tools!

I believe that this is supposed to be stamped NATIONAL BOWLING CENTRE but some letters are missing. There is also some phantom stamping going on just above. The obverse is nothing special. Just a flattened 1936 LWC.

Wonder why "grant" did not capitalize his own name? Or is it a parody on how much money someone received for a government grant they were awarded?

That's funny Earle. I hadn't thought about the 'grant' definition.

This 1907 repousse IHC is really unique. Not really sure what it's a stamp of. My best guess is a leprechaun because of the nose and the fact it is holed to be worn as a lucky pendant perhaps?

A super shout out and thank you to Alpha33. I just received some counter stamped LMCs in the mail that I will be sharing soon. Once I can find a resource telling me what the symbols mean. Thanks again!

I think your leprechaun idea is a good one.

But that's surely not anyone's idea of a leprechaun's hat.

Actually, and a web search proves me WRONG, it immediately said leprechaun to me. I know most drawings show the top hat-ish style. maybe my mind was thinking of the film Darby O'Gill and the Little people. Darby, thought not a leprechaun, has a hat vaguely like this one.

Here's an image of a leprechaun with a similar hat. The pressed example looks more like a World War I Brodie helmet.
