I agree with the lamination, but the woodie part is awfully hard to see and isn't strong enough to be described as such.

It is a lamination. They flow in a straight line. Note that on the coin. Not damaged. Planchette error.

Definitely a lam and a nice one.

I agree with moxking about the woody part. It's not quite strong enough to be labeled as such. However, woodies and lams are "birds of a feather", so to speak.
