I don't know why the note with lower denomination but greater size. They seems to be printed from same era. This seems to be violated from common sense. Who can tell the reasons? Thank you.

They're from different issues - 20F 1943, 50F 1944.

They have different dates but they are from the first post-liberation issue. Although dated 1943, the 20 franc was issued the same as the 50 franc.

The size has nothing to do with inflation. The notes were made by different printers

Consumers need notes of different denominations. I don't think you would argue that because the USA prints one dollar and fifty dollar notes that it is because of inflation.

Thank you all of your opinion. You let me know the smaller note with higher denomination is not due to inflation. In our culture, higher denomination note should have a larger size under same batch of issue but I have to admit that the other factor such as different printers should also be considered.
