(The Mint)Must have hardened the dies Too much and they started chipping. over hardened dies tend to become brittle instead of stronger.

Yeah any steel gets brittle when hardened to much.... this thing is chipping and breaking and cracking everywhere it's pretty neat

Yeah I've got quite a few of them at this stage and a few of each stage leading up to it I believe... so I'll be sorting them by stages and maybe put a few stages together to see the progression it will be pretty cool I think side by side just need to buy some more 2x2s

Something about the design lends itself to die chips. I have seen quite a few of them, especially on the torch shaft.

Yeah me too but never this bad I've never seen it fill in between the oak stick and oak leaf before as in pics 8,9,10,11,13 I've seen them on the leaves and all that but yeah thought it was pretty cool
