2016 P Dime With Large Die Chips And Die Crack In Hair!

Willburton Pillar of the Community United States 2558 Posts	Posted 12/28/2017 9:12 pm Change find. This one has all the normal die chips but they are much larger than normal. Three are the biggest I've found on a dime. There's also a crack running through the hair I didn't post a closeup of that one. What do y'all think about this one? Errers and Varietys Bedrock of the Community United States 74241 Posts	Posted 12/28/2017 11:08 pm Nice find especially for receiving it in change! I also noticed it's more common on the newer Dimes. Do you think that dies were improperly harden, making them brittle to cause this? This is a thought I had in mine of a possible explaination of why Die Chips happen a lot more on newer Dimes.
