The " Cud" is actually a die break between the B & E. Take a look here.

Check it out on Cuds On Coins - http://cuds-on-coins.com/

Or send in your pics to JC if a new variety! This is what he sent me to have your coin verified.

Email images, limit one coin per email, to JCStevens43@Gmail.com.

On the subject line enter date, mint mark and type of LIBERTY Die Break "BIE / IIB / etc."

All images must be in focus and have the proper orientation.

The highest resolution possible.

Send images of the full obverse and reverse making sure none of the edges are cropped off.

Send a close up image of the full "LIBERTY", the die break "BIE / IIB / etc." & the date and mint mark.

If your coin has any die markers images these and in your email note what you see or "No Markers Noted".

Images should be attached to the email as zip files/folder.

Nice "BIE"! "BIES" are one of my favorite type of error coins.

Wendell, Your coin looks like it is a match to the LDB4-1955D-017. Not a new listing.

http://cuds-on-coins.com/ldb4-1955d/

A LIBERTY Die Break is not a Cud. It is a die break called a die chip that is between the letters of LIBERTY.

Definition: A Cud is a die break that involves the rim and at least a little bit of the adjacent field or design.

Very common on '50s cents especially. Wonder if anyone collects them by date.
