asking for help on grade and value opinions on this bill,no folds and just the small chip taken out of the top margin.teehee/burke signed,I am a coin guy and bought a collection off a guy and he had this single bill also and I see values are all over and know I'm not knowledgable enough to tell him a value.I understand one would need to physically see it but a good ballpark is all he is looking for.
Thanks

This looks XF or maybe AU. Appears to have some handling and the piece missing in the margin hurts it. That would get the note a NET grade at PCGS or PMG.

I would personally only offer $50 for it due to the missing piece.

Black Eagle Notes in that condition go for well over $100 on ebay all day long.

Not necessarily if they're net graded (damaged). Plus, I haven't really seen enough of this note up close so far to confirm it's actually EF.

Thanks very much. I'll agree with EF then, with a small missing piece and obverse foxing or staining that bleeds through.

I guess I'll suggest he try a ebay auction for the best bang for his buck.
Thanks for all the help,I may sell it for him as I highly doubt he has a ebay account.

The OP's Black Eagle is an iconic large size Silver Certificate readily available in virtually any grade.

For reasons stated above I personally would want an example without the distractions. Some collectors are not as picky and are willing to forgive the imperfections for a reduced price.
