This confirms what most on here have been saying. Interest in coins peak during the winter and dies out in the summer. This year I have more experience watching auctions. It seems to me that the higher quality coins come up for auction around this time of year but the competition for those coins is far greater than other times. I think it's cabin fever that stokes peoples interest. It sure is cold out there. What's interesting is that it works the same way in the health club business. Maybe looking at shiny discs reminds me of summer. ;) Studying or working on coins is one of the warmest of activities when you have cabin fever. Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps. I put all my tax type stuff in a pile almost all year long. Then about this time of year I sit down with the piles and start sorting, documenting, etc. Coins become the last thing on my mind now.
