1999-P Cent Off Center Strike, Ebay Purchase With Questions?

Willburton Pillar of the Community United States 2558 Posts	Posted 01/07/2018 09:47 am I got this one off ebay for $10. The main reason I got it was because it has split plating on both sides and two areas I've circled in red. Is this a multierror coin? I've looked at a lot of offcenter strikes and didn't see one like this. What do y'all think? Report this Post to the Staff

To be more precise, could this coin be double struck or what would cause the two areas I've circled? Report this Post to the Staff
Crazyb0 Rest in Peace 10197 Posts	Posted 01/07/2018 1:10 pm The collar had failed to fully deploy, hence offset strike. Looks like there may have been a jam near the collar, another misaligned press part like the ejector or feeder finger. Report this Post to the Staff
