Just received an email notifying me that iam in violation of new rules going into effect. This isn't to advertise, only explain, I'm considering removing this listing anyway. Quote:Hi crazyb-0 We're writing to let you know, that as of January 7, 2018, some of your listings are in violation of ebay policies or recent security updates and require update. 2 of your listings contain(s) contact information such as phone number, email address or weblinks, which is in violation of listing policies. Non-compliant listings will soon be blocked. ebay.com Here's one of the two. Recently listed RPMs: https://www.ebay.com/itm/282787566799?It seems that in using references to recognized sources for full disclosure verifications will no longer be "acceptable" to the powers that be! My description as follows: Quote:This offer is for ONE 1950S BU/UNC LWC with a Repunched Mint Mark verification through http://www.coppercoins.com as 1950S-1MM-017. The die state on these appears the same as the example on coppercoins. Have 1 for sale at $3.79 each. Thanks for looking and please leave feedback if you buy and enjoy these coins. ebay touts themselves as presenting quality products, not counterfeit to the best of their ability. Why therefore limit actual proof of the validity of an individual sale for a potential buyer to check out? This is counter productive to their claims! No wonder fakes are flooding it's ranks, this will provide a firm foundation for more to guile the unwary! It sucks! Those of us who truthfully play the ebay game, faithfully representing our products are once again given the flim-flam-whammy. It truly does appear that ebay does only care HOW they make money, no matter if it is deceitful or not. Too bad its one of the few outlets that provide opportunity for those like me to sell a few items, helping offset costs of collecting. Otherwise, I would go elsewhere immediately with ebay in the rearview mirror with a one-finger salute. Rant over...for today! *** Moved by Staff moved to a more appropriate forum. ***

Doesn't Coppercoins sell on ebay ? Maybe that's their problem. I don't know why though, ebay is still making money on the sales.

Maybe if you just offer the link in the listing without making it a hyperlink (clickable)?

Some of the ebay rules are so bizarre it's nothing anyone would ever expect to encounter. I've had ads kicked off for the freakiest reasons. Offered Mont Blanc pen set - couldn't use the name Mont Blanc. Offered cosmetic jewelry manufactured in Belgium, could not use his name, either. Weird stuff. Sorry to hear it Crazy. ebay is so very different from what it was even 6-7 years ago. Every major change they have instituted has been AGAINST their sellers. Rant my friend, Rant...

I think it's because of the compatibility with the ebay mobile app.

Quote:I think it's because of the compatibility with the ebay mobile app. If that be the case, their app is like Obamacare, bad outta the gate! Why an incompatibility to utilize a link? Sounds more like limiting the exiting of the ebay site, restrictive use only. The only thing I could think of is the need to restrict the advertising bots from bombarding a server.

I hate when common sense looses out to the corporate bottom line. It's happening more and more and not just in retail situations.

Quote: It's more acceptable for counterfeiters to peddle their wares than ever before! So True!! There is absolutely no valid reason why ebay is doing more to police counterfeit bullion (especially gold) peddled in their company. So many buyers are trashing thousands of dollars in toilet thinking they have valuable for emergencies. It's a real shame.

Quote: Offered Mont Blanc pen set - couldn't use the name Mont Blanc. A lot of more expensive brands don't want their brands sold on there and were able to get them banned and just report listings as fakes whenever someone gets one through
