What do you see as a possible error? your picture is not in focus. Back away from the coin some. The image may be smaller, but it may be in focus.

@dalerobi1964, first welcome to CCF. Second, it looks like your coin has been damaged (not a mint error). Most likely someone hit this coin when it was perched on a round object--like another dime. It is only worth face value and can be spent.

Let just say in the Mint is it possible that this dime got struck in the die with another dime ?

I was a forge press operator but only with steal but it is possible that the coin that I have was struck in the die with another dime

Need much clearer pictures on the obverse the rim looks like it took damage in line with the line above roosevelt but the reverse the rim does not look like it has damage it is probably PMD but more focused pictures will help better for sure. And if another dime was on top that is a die cap look them up looks completely diffrent with a mooshy to nothing on one side of the coin that the cap is on but yes better pictures will help

Both images make it look like the Y is over the damage, and with the brown discoloration on the rim makes me think it could be some kind of planchet flaw, but we're going to need pictures in focus.

Ya I was reading about that in some other place so it could be that the pealing of the silver showing the zinc on the rim of the dime I will try to take some more pics of it outside I guess I got a Apple se witch has a 14 megapixels camera on it
