That is a common large date 1970-S business strike coin. See nothing out of the ordinary about it, you have a specific question? There is no premium value on it.

@JustJes, first welcome to CCF. Second, I agree with @crazyb0 that this seems like a normal cent with moderate wear and tear (and a corrosion spot on the rev). Not worth over face value, but coming from your dad's collection may still make it worth saving.

As other said, just a normal large date cent.

You should include the date, mintmark, and the denomination in your titles.

Why Topic Titles are Important

The title of your topic is very important. Let's say you need help attributing an 1896 Morgan Dollar....

  • Horrendous: Help!

  • Bad: Need help with coin

  • Better: Need help with Morgan Dollar

  • Good: Need help with 1896 Morgan Dollar

  • Awesome: Need help with VAM on 1896 Morgan Dollar

This enables the members with expertise pertaining to your question to easily find and answer your question. The title of the topic also becomes the title of the topic's web page, which enables us to attract more collectors to the site. The more members we have, the more we learn.

Nice to meet you. Agree with everyone above. Perhaps more sentimental value.

It's worth face value.
