I've said it before, but lams are one of my favorite errors.

It is a lamination. Mostly in a straight line. Seems like most lamination errors are found near the rim areas. This confirms my theory about them being created in the blanking-setup rim-planchet process. The rolling up of the rim loosens the lamination and sometimes if large enough fall off later in circulation.
