I came across this dime today at work and was curious to know if this was indeed an actual error, or if anyone has seen/came across something such as this. Any info will be appreciated as I'm having trouble with finding anything online. It is a stamp. It was done after the coin left the mint.

An undefined "counterstamp", no telling who, what or why. On some we can, not a contemporary single lette/number.

Anyone can get metal stamps and start punching away. 50 years from now there may be more puzzled collectors.
