Here's an item that I'm not even sure if it's real or not. It's very small at 3 1/2" (9 cm) X 1 11/16" (4.3 cm) colour as shown. I've had this for some time now and I'm not sure if it wasn't just a give away in a cereal box. Any help would be great, is this a real banknote? Cheers, Bill

I am at work so may be a little off on the year or denom - look up China 1 FEN 1953 and you should get in the ballpark to what you need.

Interesting, this looks like it has three different types of script on it.

It's not only real, as stated above, it's not a miniature, that is the actual size of the issued note.
Hong Kong has an even smaller One Cent note, and the current Mongolian series has three notes even smaller.

Thanks to everyone for the comments and assistance. I'm surprised and pleased it's real, I had always thought it was just a small replica of perhaps a real note.
Cheers, Bill

Chinese banknotes have lots of nationalities. They could potentially put more languages on them.
Han, Mongolian, Tibetan, Uyghur, and Zhuang are the languages currently on the RMB notes.
