Good day. Here is a 64 Kennedy half that is nicely toned only on one side. The photo does not do the toning justice but the question is the same. Is it normal for a coin to tone only on one side?
Thanks

Rich

Interesting, but doesn't really appeal to me.

The end coins in a roll will many times be toned only on the outside.

Pretty common to have silver coins tone on just one side.
Rest in Peace

its not rare to see one side only toning. Eye appeal is subjective. Technical grade is objective.
