I know nothing about errors, but picked these up at the LCS today for VERY cheap. As in way less than $1. So anyway, I'd like to know more about them.

In my opinion all Three are PSD. Altered and man made creations, combination of Acid washed, vise job!
Good conversation pieces though.
Can you provide the weights and the Edge views?

The second pic is an early stage die cap. How you can tell is the devices will be raised not incuse as a miscreant's work. The Image is reversed because it got stamped and hung up on the hammer die. As the caps progress through the stages they become thinner, the memorial disappears and the underlaying image of the original coin begins to show thru. You are seeing all three stages of a die cap. Read the resource!

Images 1 and 3 are really awesome struck through later stages of a capped die.

Image 2 seems off the charts for struck through an early stage capped die. I don't think they tend to last long creating a mirror image the clear. Thanks, Doug.

Thank-you all for the info. I will likely try to sell these at some point to someone who will enjoy them more than I will.
