So I got a PCGS sp70fb first strike dime it was a few dollars so I decided to order it eventually I will be able to get the full set maybe lol if they are a few dollars as well.

We'll I received it today and I have heard of lint and stuff in slabs so at first it's what I thought it was but with a little looking it looks like a struck through thread. I know they are bad pictures but I didn't want to get everything out to take pictures on a work night

Culprit?

Do you think it was thread? Could it be that piece of thread? Or could it have been wire?

I would say thread.
Wire tends to be more straight in shape. Also wider.

Threads are thinner and often curve at will.
