Any foreign material that is trapped between the plating and core will cause the zinc to rapidly corrode, causing release of gas and corrosion dust. If those bubbles burst, air will further cause rapid erosion. Why the stinkin zincolns aren't lasting long in circulation. Report this Post to the Staff
