It's important to remember that on account of the enormous mintage of these at all three mints, condition has to be very high to command a significant premium. The price differential between AU and low MS isn't much, and at any lower grade, they typically retail at a few dollars over melt. All that said, these two examples rather look to me to be XF/AU-ish and also like they might once have been cleaned. I'd give them a pass.

Both look about au55 with little mint luster. There are many examples of the 21. The 21d is a little more scarce, but not in the condition above. The 21 is nicer than the 21d.

AU-55 for both. Neither are scarce.

XF-45 (1921-D) and AU-53 (1921). Around $20 or so for each.

Agree. EF and low AU here. You can do better on these extremely common issues.

1) EF-45.
2) It might make AU-55.
