For various reasons, not the least of which is the desire to finish out life with some adventure in a different country, I find my interest in most aspects of this hobby waning. That puts me in downsizing mode. One part of my collection in which I now have zero interest is various Proof and Mint sets, mostly early 90s to mid 00s, most are silver sets, but some clad as well. So what is the best way to get rid of these, with the primary goals being receiving some $s while not burning too much time (thus, ebay is low on the list)? I can't imagine a LCS being too interested, especially with some of the clad sets seemingly worth, well, not too far north of 91 cents.

Thanks in advance and FWIW, I won't find "send them to me" to be especially helpful.

You can always submit them to a online or local auction house or even post them on here an see if any members want them.

Or do what I plan on doing with them and give them to young relatives and maybe you can spark interest in the next generation of numismatics.

You can always place them on here for sale and let the user community first go at them.

I have never done this yet, so I cant vouch for it. Check out azcoinexchange.com/BuyList.htm
They have a buy list with competitive prices paid on many items. (Some items are better than others) you may get the best fee-free price there.

Look up coin shows in your area. Take as many of those with you and just ask dealers if they want to buy them. You could probably sell all of them there.

Good luck... As mentioned I'd try here first. List what you have and be open to offers.

(and by "here" I mean the B/S/T forums, of course)

Thanks everyone. I will certainly see if there is any interest here first.
Rest in Peace

with listing them here first. There are no fees (other than PayPal if you choose to accept that form of payment).

I am putting together a silver proof 50 States quarter album and am still lacking 1999-2003 as Crazyb0 mentioned. However, I'm only interested in the quarters and I'm sure you wouldn't want to break up full proof sets and I wouldn't recommend it. If you have the standalone quarter sets, I may be interested. I'm not sure how much I can put onto a purchase at this point. Make a post in the Sales forum and we can go from there.

You should check ebay SOLD prices for what you have and price according to what the relative going rates are.

Look up local coin clubs and offer them for the "donation auction" - many clubs use that to fund activities over the year.
