This is my first ink error. One of my managers received it at his wash today and he gave it to me. WOW that made my day.

I believe this is an offset transfer type of error. Paper Money Guide discusses it here.

I normally collect coins so I do not know how this happened. Sure is cool though.

Being a Series 1985, I would say someone got into Grampa's collection. It's in too good of shape to have been in circulation all these years.

While this type of error is easy to fake, this example shows the weave of the cloth of the printing bed. Fakers are unable to duplicate this when they use a scan of a genuine note for the transfer portion.

It's worth a lot more than $5. I've seen dealer sites where they're asking $100 - $140. You might get half that if you tried to sell to them.

Anyway, put it in a currency holder and put it somewhere safe.

It is in a plastic money holder all ready. Never even made it to my wallet. Didn't want to bend it.
