Hi all, going through my coins and came across this piece. It is a different metal, looks like silver or nickel. Could it be a planchet error or wrong metal error or PMD?
Definitely not a mint error and almost certainly lead/tin solder rather than silver or nickel. You could try to remove it from the copper, but most likely the numismatic value is pretty much gone on this one.
