Coin Virgin here! Good evening.
I just found a 1964 D Penny and was pleased to confirm it's a DDR ! Yippie .
Then I find another one but this one I see Doubling at the lips and
under the chin/ neck area ? As well as the lettering UNITED STATES OF.
Since I only have one book for reference material at this time & it does't mention anything about the obverse side having doubling?
I figured I'd come to the well of knowledge , here at the CoinForum.
To ask if a plentiful coin / easy coin to find? (Because so far I have found 3 in the last hour & a half)

Sorry to say, many new finds of DDO or DDR, are the result of Machine Doubling (MD).
Can you post pictures of the doubling on these coins?

The chin/neck area is common and is not collectable, but still need pics. What is your reference book?

Here are a few listed ones on this site:

There are a lot of DDR on the reverses. Study the areas where the doubling shows on this site and then look in those areas on your coin. As mentioned already, a lot of Machine doubled coins have fooled many.
