I received notice that my 1971-D Eisenhower was indeed the "Friendly Eagle" FS-901 Type 1 Reverse RDV-006 variety. What does the forum members think of him in comparison to PCGS? Thank you for your interest and comments!

He looks, to me, to be in the MS65/66 range. I'm leaning toward 65 but I'm just learning how to grade this series.

Absolute gem. Lock on 65. Might kiss 66.

Congrats!
As I'm not an Ike collector - I'd never heard of this version. Learn something new every day.

Wow. That is a VERY nice FEV, and I think it deserves MS65+. That is too close to a 66 to be a plain 65, IMHO. I have this variety in 65 and 66. Yours is right in the middle. I mean, look at those CLEAN fields! And... look at the strike quality!! Incredibly well-struck specimen.
