Ok gentleman ready to hear that this is worth face value only. Lol, this coin hunting thing is harder than I thought. I don't think I've got a good eye for this yet. But I continue pushing on.

When grease gets into the die, it can prevent part of the devices from striking up:

They can look wider in size because the devices are tapered upwards to be thinner at the top of the devices. On the die, this is the deeper part of the devices. When grease gets into the devices they can look like the devices on the quarter posted above.

Search Grease Filled Die and you'll probably find quite a few. Still pretty cool to keep around though.
