Anything appear strange to you? The face, collar and right hand for instance? Thanks, Loyal

I don't see anything that screams fake to me. This was a very high mintage coin, the second highest mintage year for the series. I would think that fakes wouldn't be worth the effort to make. I am no expert with walking liberty halfs, but I would think it is genuine.

I'm no expert either, but it looks like a fine coin to me. I have aproximately 70 Walking Liberty half dollars, and this one looks as good as any of mine. High AU if not MS. nice coin!

That looks real to me too and I've bought and sold hundreds the last few months. I wouldn't expect to see high-grade counterfeits for this common date. Nice coin, btw. I'll say AU55-58 based on the pics.

Thanks for you comments guys. Boy, every time I buy something on ebay I start thinking fake. You are absolutely correct on the high mintage figures, was wondering why it was selling for less than what I thought it would. I really like the design of these half dollars.

I have quite a few 1942 Walker half dollars, because 1942 is my birth year and I buy each 1942 coin I run across (that I can afford). Comparing your coin to several of mine, I see nothing that suggests it is a fake.

HI Gary,
I really like the looks of these coins and can see why you buy them. This particular coin was my first Walker.
After winning the bid I started comparing mine to some others. I noticed the two bottom fingers looked wider than others. Possibly a little bit of wear. Another thing I noticed was that the collar of the dress looked more squarish than other pics I was looking at. Anyway, I received the coin and it looks great. Worried over nothing. Thanks for your reply.

Now if you were trying to buy 1916.1938-D I would make sure they are graded by a TPG 1940-46 all mm are common

Here is a 1941 that is close in condition, for comparison.

Sweet! Well yours has the fat two fingers and the square collar too. I swear I saw some pics on ebay that had a different collar. Do you know if they changed the design of the robe at one time? Or perhaps they were worn, or even worse fake! Thanks for the pic.
