Hello eberyone. I just received a 100 dollar note from the bank. Horizontally and vertically misaligned. It also had a colour band on top. It s misaligned both sides.

That one does have collector value, Area51. Can you post the back, too?

Actually you're not. The best thing is to start a NEW topic by yourself (click "New Topic" rather than "Reply to Topic").

Personally, I don't have a problem with a misaligned $100 image posted to a topic that is "check this 100 $ misaligned bill", particularly since it seemed the original question was fairly completely discussed.

In a way, it is more on topic than the posting of $1 bill images....

Now, if the new $100 bill poster had a question or questions, well, then a new topic would definitely be in order.

ps, I don't make the rules on this forum, though.

I tend to agree with ness-52, even if the thread is 6-7 years old. It's definitely "on topic".

The error on the bill from Area51 looks like a cutting error after all the printing was done. Reason is because both sides have the same wide or truncated margins. In a true printing misalignment, only one side or the serials and seal would be off.

I'm not a value expert but I would put a cutting error as lower than a misalignment error because it can actually be done by anybody who has uncut sheets. (Not saying that is the case here.)

Thanks ron6788. It has been verified through the bank manager it came out of a brick from the treasurer. Is this an uncommon find?.

No you were not necessarily.

While it was on topic, I went ahead an split this out into its own anyway.

to the Community, Area51! You did nothing wrong, either. We just find it cleaner this way.
