Thanks that's awesome. The only reason it survived is because it has been in my change jug for 10+ years. Makes me wonder what else is in there!

Just wondering which die everyone thinks this is. It's not 001 or 002. There is no widening of the devices. This looks to be lighting

It looks like Die Deterioration to me or die wear or whatever you want to call a worn out die

To me the devices are the same size as a normal coin. The tops of the devices appear to be altered a bit like circulation damage or Ejection damaged or very high bouncing machine damage. If it were hub doubling I would expect to see the devices enlarged. Seeing this affect on both sides of the coin makes me think it is damage. What are the chances of affecting both sides the same way?

Is there any way to clean the black stuff off the top of the letters and not damage the coin? so I can maybe get a better picture because it looks like on the O,s they cross or swirl at the top and bottom. I could be wrong though.
