To CCF! I am not sure how to answer your question with the two Quarters you have, but I think I know the answer for your Nickel. On your Nickel, it looks like glue or some type of residue on it. I will let the others chime in so you can get a better and more accurate answer.
Best to use just one coin per thread. It makes it hard to talk about a specific with with several on the thread. You should include the date, mintmark, and the denomination in your titles.
Why Topic Titles are Important
The title of your topic is very important. Let's say you need help attributing an 1896 Morgan dollar.... · Horrendous: Help!
This enables the members with expertise pertaining to your question to easily find and answer your question. The title of the topic also becomes the title of the topic's web page, which enables us to attract more collectors to the site. The more members we have, the more we learn.
Thanks for making the one coin per thread and using the information provided. The milky stuff is probably glue. The incuse marks (pushed into the coin) on the coin are probably coin contact from other coins. (Coins get tossed around a lot out there. The linger they are out there, the more damage is done to them. But I see no premium for your coin. (but knowing what you have is important. Then you will know for the next time)
