It is a "D' mint mark with a broken post. Then it looks like a die chip is forming below the mint mark. So with a little imagination you think it is something that it is not. The first clue. The 'D' mint mark is only so tall. If it were a D/S, the would still only be so tall. Just a chip developing at the base of the mint mark. (Too tall to be an (OMM)
