I was if anyone could help me with this. Is this damage or two mint marks. All info greatly appreciated.

Pretty convincing damage though--it does look remarkably like a letter S. Looks like the number 7 in the date also took a pretty good hit.

I agree contact mark damage, but I can see why you would ask, it does resemble an S .

As mentioned it is just damage. If it was a mint mark, it would be raised. The mark is incuse and the green makes look like something. But PSD.
