I've recently read a couple of posts that dinged this site because the presentation isn't "up to date". While that may be the case, you can't dispute the quality of responses, timeliness of responses, nor the information available to collectors of any level from this site. I learn something new almost every day from this site. I wouldn't change a thing.

I'd say pretty much everything I post, I get positive feedback on. And I agree with learning something new on here everyday. I'm sticking around

I prefer the format of this site over the others I belong to. If anyone thinks it's cumbersome to upload photos here they need to join VAMworld and (try to) upload some photos..

I have been cherry picking across the whole of numismatics for more than 40 years. Nevertheless, I am a generalist, not a specialist as a result of this approach.
If follows that I am still learning from the many specialists here in the CCF. In fact, my learning curve is still steep. The CCF is the only Coin Forum in the World that can answer this spread of numismatic needs.

Even if the presentation isn't "up to date", you can't beat the quality, timeliness, and friendliness of the posts and members here. The best coin forum on the web, in my opinion.

Just go as a noob to a few others, get yer belly full of the absolute venom dished out with heated shovels full. I've heard it said CCF is "The kiddies playground", well why can't adults have fun as well as children do? To have a simple joy and have others share in discovery...and failures as well. That has always has been a necessary part of anyone's learning curves, no matter what age. As adults, some even here seem to forget (friendly reminder, ahem!), what it was like to be a child in search of a new discovery, finding something pretty, something messy, always dangerous and pushing those limits. CCF does offer that, for all ages in the numismatic "hobby" or one's life work, to gain it, give it and glory in it. (Note I didn't mention "Gloating!) to those who do "diss" this site, I just happily offer them the links to those various nefarious coin sites...with a smiley face emoji!

Bobby and the moderators keep it together, and I think we've all benefited from their discipline.

I've been to those other sites in the past. Didn't stick around past a day or two on most because of the exclusionary feel. I don't need a bunch of Know-It-Alls looking at my post count & telling me that I'm a numisidiot (I know that already). I have become very comfortable in my lowball collector skin.
I smell sour grapes if they feel it necessary to disparage us. I've enjoyed my months on this site. All my questions have been answered quickly and well. I've been given good advice. I've made virtual friends here.

Quote: I've heard it said CCF is "The kiddies playground" Maybe so, but we have a lot of smart kiddies here! Maybe that statement was because of the games and contests we are forever playing, or how some get excited over the Wheat cent they got in change. No harm in that! Among other things, the CCF has a critical mass of members, so that almost any question can be answered fairly quickly. I have never found that the presentation hindered me in any way.
