One of the favorite things I love about this coin are the leaves to the left of the H in HALF. Those leaves show the fully struck exterior raised outline of the two leaves. Love seeing that kind of detail on an early copper coin. numismatic student Bedrock of the Community United States 11894 Posts	Posted 02/07/2018 12:21 am I think that I was able to attribute this coin as Cohen-10 (C-10) and Breen-9 (B-9). The diagnostics are the 4 in the date (1804) higher than the 180 and the 4 close to the 0. On the reverse there is a Cud that attaches the R in AMERICA to the rim. The 2 in the 200 in the fraction is high relative to the 00. C-9/B-8 has a 4 that is further away from the 180 in the date. I think it has been doctored to look original....I am thinking it has been cleaned and someone is attempting to pass it off as a coin that will grade straight. He feels the surfaces appear original enough for the TPG gods. He also confirmed my attribution of Cohen-10.
