I'm a coin error collector. A friend brought me this dollar bill. If anyone can name this error. I don't know if this is permitted but can anyone tell me it's ballpark value. Thanks.

As noted, your best bet is to upload the image here. Error notes can be quite valuable.

FWIW, the sides of paper money are not referred to as "obverse" and "reverse" as coins are. We get your meaning but the preferred terms are "face" and "back".

Your photos came through fine this time, mchera. It's a partial offset ink transfer, pretty common, ballpark worth, $15 IMO. IF the bill is pre-1977 or a star note, then more.
