Thanks CJ18850 and CoinCollector2000. Good find on the MS, I hope you get a good grade as well. The verdigris and spotting on the reverse does a number on this one, but no real problem with me. I just enjoy the hunt.

OldJoeClark, if you want to get rid of the verdigris and spotting on the reverse, try giving it a soak in Acetone for 3 to 4 hours. It will look a lot better after the Acetone bath. I have done it a couple of times already and was very amazed and pleased with the results.

Thank you acloco

E&V, I soaked it for about an hour in acetone. Maybe I will try leaving it in longer and see what happens. Thanks

I had cents that look like that. Acetone soak for a few hours, rinse and dry, then I doused it with verdi-care on the surface and let it sit for a few hours (sometimes even over night) and that got rid of the green problem pretty good.

Thanks Slamnbass.

E&V, I soaked the coin 4 1/2 hours in acetone and this is the results.

Mark, I will put some Verdi-Care on it and see what happens, Thanks again to you all.

There you go! It looks a lot better than it used to. The doubling stands out more after its Acetone bath.

Rest in Peace
