Just to be clear, there could be a crack in the flan which will be incuse (below the surface) or a crack in the die that was used to strike the coin which will be in relief (above the surface). That said, I agree with @CF that your coin is damaged rather than cracked.

Personally, I am quite happy to look through multiple pics of a coin if they are right side up, cropped, well-lit, and in-focus. You are off to a pretty good start!

Yes very good question. It is best practice to start a new thread when you have a new coin to post. This is because some folks use the search function (in the upper left hand side of your screen) to look at old posts. For example, this thread has 1938 in the title, but if you now post a different coin from 1947 (or whatever), then this is lost because it comes up in the "wrong" thread. Within a single thread, you should be totally fine include a full pic of the obverse, reverse, and then one or two pics of whatever specific issue is of interest. Make sense?
