Quote: I wonder how they stay this nice for so long. Should be fine in a 2x2. It looks super-shiny I think! By the way, I'm no expert on grading, but I wonder about the apparent areas of burnishing on Lincoln's forehead and cheekbone--could that be enough to knock this down from mint state? Or maybe that is just from the lighting on your pic--I'm not sure.

On the mint mark, it is showing metal striation lines. So the date maybe affect with Machine Doubling. (the angle/lighting the image was taken shows that)

tks, in 8 rolls I found this and a 1918. While not rare, it is so neat to find a coin that old still in circulation. Cool

Not much definition on the obverse, but quite OK on the reverse.
Why is that?

Just shy of 50 years old so that really is a prize to find in a roll.

Nice AU coin . Just a tip , when taking very close up pics of a coin try to get it in focus so the area of the coin is not so blurry . Maybe your lighting is off or your taking a shot too close to the coin .

Quote: I wonder how they stay this nice for so long. It gets struck at the mint, sent to the Fed and then a bank, to a business, someone gets it is change and throws it in a jar. Then it sits in the jar for 49+ years. Then it got taken to the bank, rolled, any you got it. You could very well be the second person to have received it.
