This 1831 Penny coins presents a little better, for this reason. Evidence of tiny pits in the rev. die, near Britannia's wrist. gEF (British), AU58. Report this Post to the Staff

Lucky Cuss Pillar of the Community United States 4883 Posts	Posted 02/15/2018 5:54 pm The slight abrasion you can see at the high points of the devices is much the same as that which has occurred with mine (see http://goccf.com/t/308631 to compare) but overall yours is a cleaner, more presentable specimen without the sort of disruption to the fields that my example exhibits. Lucky Cuss Pillar of the Community United States 4883 Posts	Posted 02/16/2018 7:59 pm I'm now noticing what appear to be reverse die chips/gouges as evidenced by the tiny raised spots on Britannia's upright forearm, as well as the larger one in the field just to the right. Is their any tracking of die states for this issue, as is rather assiduously done with respect to the likes of Canadian large cents and U.S. silver dollars?
