2002 Lincoln Memorial Cent / LMC REV Die Chip?

Meraxes Valued Member United States 62 Posts	Posted 02/17/2018 06:44 am At the top of the area between the 1st and 2nd columns from the left on the memorial, there seems to be a die chip on this 2002 Lincoln Cent. I wish I could get a better look with my phone's camera, cause it has a rather odd shape. Sort of a semi-flattened triangular pyramid... Maybe not the most impressive error, but probably the best one I've personally found. Report this Post to the Staff

If you use the CCF search function in the upper left hand part of your screen with the keywords HORNET NEST, you will see many other examples. It is a nice pick-up! Achilles Valued Member United States 60 Posts	Posted 02/25/2019 6:45 pm Found this one today and the only reference I could find to "2002 Lincoln Cent reverse chip" was to this thread so I figured I'd post it here. Thought maybe mine was an earlier die state but the placement of the chip is a bit different. Went through about 300 2002's from rolls I saved up. This was the only anomaly in the bunch.
