Seems to be a Potosi 8 resale. Can't tell if real or not.

Surface looks to be slightly porous which can be an indicator of a cast piece.

First off, welcome.

Or shipwreck salvage.

While your piece's appearance does raise some concerns, there are several things you can do to begin the authentication process. Weigh it to an accuracy of at least a tenth of a gram. See if it's attracted to a magnet. If you have a jewelry scale that weighs out to a hundredth of a gram, determine its specific gravity, or find a local gold/silver store that has an xray fluorescence (XRF) device to determine its composition.

I'm no expert but a picture of the edge might be helpful too.
Rest in Peace

. Looks cast rather than struck. Photos of the edge could quickly help decide that issue.

Thank you for quick responses! I don't have a scale. I'll have to see if I can locate one.

Looks indeed like a replica
Perhaps you can find it here or you can send the pictures to that site

Sorry, but it's a replica. Base-metal, with most of the gilding worn away. 1736 seems to be a common date for "pirate doubloon" replicas.
